Rajaa Laghrissi

Rajaa Laghrissi is an experienced English Language teacher and Freelance Instructional Coach with over 20 years of teaching experience, including 12 years in American-curriculum schools. She specializes in adaptive teaching, assessment for learning, and integrating AI to enhance student engagement and critical thinking. As a teacher trainer and workshop facilitator, she supports educators in designing student-centered lessons aligned with Common Core Standards. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Linguistics and is passionate about empowering both students and teachers through reflective and innovative practices.

Synopsis- This workshop explores how to transform Common Core Standards into meaningful classroom practice. Participants will learn how to design clear learning intentions and success criteria, align instruction with Bloom’s Taxonomy and DOK levels, and structure lessons using the 5Es model. The session also highlights how assessment for learning (AFL) drives adaptive teaching to meet diverse learner needs. Through practical examples and guided tasks, educators will leave with actionable strategies to design engaging, standards-aligned lessons that promote deeper learning and student success.
