Jenitha Lewis is an experienced educator, science leader, and professional learning facilitator with more than 11 years of experience in education, including seven years in leadership roles across British and American curriculum settings in the UAE. Her expertise includes science education, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), engineering standards, curriculum design and development, STEM education, experiential and inquiry-based learning, assessment, data-informed instruction, instructional leadership, and whole-school improvement. As a Head of Science and member of the Senior Leadership Team, Jenitha has contributed to significant school improvement journeys, supporting progress from Very Good to Outstanding and from Acceptable/In Progress to Good. Her work has maintained a strong focus on strengthening classroom practice and improving student outcomes. She has also served as a World Education Summit Ambassador, contributing to professional learning and global educational dialogue. As a facilitator, Jenitha is passionate about empowering educators with practical strategies and approaches that can be immediately implemented to create a meaningful, measurable, and sustainable impact on student learning.

Synopsis- Pathway to Outstanding Science: From Standards to Impact is an interactive workshop focused on transforming NGSS and engineering standards into clear, measurable learning objectives. Participants will explore how to unpack standards, break objectives into progressive levels, and align learning experiences with desired outcomes. The session demonstrates how objectives can drive the entire science lesson through inquiry-based and experiential learning, purposeful questioning, differentiation, and assessment. Teachers will gain practical strategies to identify which aspects of an objective students have achieved, track progress throughout the lesson, and use evidence of learning to create engaging, purposeful, and high-impact science classrooms.
