Synopsis- Discover an engaging, adaptable approach—drawn from Ruth Culham's 6+1 Traits framework—that motivates students to write across any subject area. In this hands-on session, educators will explore practical strategies for embedding the traits into everyday instruction, analyze real student writing, and practice trait-based scoring and modeling. Participants will leave with a ready-to-use toolkit: extension activities, curated book lists for read-alouds, and student-friendly resources to strengthen English and Language Arts instruction from day one.
