Synopsis- In UDL in Multilingual Classrooms, Rubina Akhtar explores how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles can make instruction more accessible, engaging, and inclusive for English Language Learners. Participants examine practical strategies to reduce language barriers, including multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement, while leveraging students’ cultural and linguistic assets. Through real classroom examples and collaborative reflection, Rubina equips educators to redesign lessons, tasks, and assessments that foster academic success, motivation, and participation. By the end of the session, teachers leave with actionable strategies and tools to create inclusive learning environments and share best practices across their schools.
