Synopsis- In Increasing Student Engagement & Critical Thinking, Shelly Jeanphilippe equips teachers with practical, research-informed strategies to boost participation and deepen thinking in the classroom. Participants explore 3–5 proven collaborative approaches—from partner activities and group discussions to movement-based routines—walking through each strategy step by step, including its purpose, structure, and necessary tools. Shelly emphasizes adaptable methods that work across grade levels and subject areas, ensuring teachers leave with ready-to-use approaches. By the end of the session, participants will be able to confidently implement these strategies, foster communication and collaboration, and promote the critical thinking skills essential for student success.
